jewellery care
We all experience the frustration of tarnished and dirty silver jewellery, especially if it's intricate or matt finish. Here's a way of cleaning a group of pieces easily, quickly and effectively all in one go...

1. What you'll need
2. Line the tray with aluminium foil - shiny side up, and place your jewellery items inside
3. Submerge your jewellery in boiling water and sprinke Bi-Carb Soda over the pieces.
Just rinse and voila! An electrochemical reaction occurs which removes the tarnish from the silver as it is attracted to the aluminium. You'll even see a brown stain on the aluminium foil afterwards! Note: This is OK for gemset pieces but NOT for pearls which will be damaged by the boiling water.
